Hello (again) and Michibiki Vol. 2

Reviving the newsletter and new exhibition in the gallery

Hello fellow walkers and art lovers! We finally found the time and energy to revive this newsletter you’re reading right now. If you’re new—welcome! You’re receiving this because you subscribed on Substack (a while ago) or checked that magic “promotional materials” box when grabbing something nice from our store. Either way, thank you!

Michibiki Vol.2

On March 1st, we opened a new exhibition, Michibiki Vol.2, in collaboration with Art Space and Bar NININI House and Zucca, who hosts monthly Artist Meetups at the bar.

Like the first edition, this exhibition is packed with diversity and surprises, and we’re thrilled to showcase all these incredible artists.

It runs until March 29, which, unfortunately, is also the last day NININI House will be run by two of our favorite people in Tokyo—Tiny-san and Tomo-chan. To mark the occasion, we’re hosting a closing party on that final day. If you’re in Tokyo, don’t miss it.

We wholeheartedly encourage you to explore the gallery and encounter surprise after surprise, as the artworks are truly diverse. To give you a preview of what to expect, here’s a small selection of one of our favorite pieces.

Lemon Sour

Some of you may be aware that we introduced a “walker-friendly” Lemon Sour. This is a collaboration with the OpenBook in Kabukicho, known for its exceptional craft lemon sour.

We’re excited to share that we’ve also created a matching glass cup designed to resemble the aluminum can that features original artwork labels from our artists.

L-to-R: Designs by or for Yoshiaki Komatsu, the glass cup, Isaji Yugo, Erica Ward.

The drink can be found at NININI·NI and other bars listed on our mini site. The glass cup is available in our online store.

We offer additional fun merchandise, including beanies for those last chilly days in Tokyo, and a variety of artworks from our artists’ past exhibitions.

Thank you!

Thank you for visiting, supporting, and walking this path with us. We have a lot scheduled for the year ahead, so stay tuned.

See you around the hood,
