Jinny is a contemporary gallery made of streetlamps on the walker-friendly and cozy area of Jingumae 2-chome in Shibuya, Tokyo.

「Jinny Playground」で、街全体を“Playground”としてひらく

Jinny Street Galleryは、国内外のアーティストたちが神宮前二丁目の街中で作品を発表できる、コミュニティ主導の展示プラットフォームとしてスタートしました。

公共空間にアートを持ち込むことで、アートと日常の境界を曖昧にし、人々が生活の中で自然にアートと出会う瞬間を生み出しています。

本プロジェクトは現在、単なる展示空間にとどまらず、地域コミュニティとより深く関わる取り組みへと発展しています。都市の共有空間をどのように使い、感じ、楽しむことができるのか。

「Jinny Playground」は、その新しい可能性を探る試みです。

Opening the Entire City as a “Playground”

Jinny Street Gallery began as a community-driven exhibition platform where artists from Japan and around the world could present their work throughout the streets of Jingumae 2-chome.

By bringing art into public spaces, the gallery blurs the boundary between art and everyday life, creating spontaneous encounters between people and artistic expression.

Today, the project has evolved beyond a simple exhibition venue into a deeper engagement with the local community. Jinny Playground explores new possibilities for how shared urban spaces can be used, experienced, and enjoyed.
