I see the surfaces of the city as a kind of skin. Using transparent film and latex, I collect the textures, cracks, and traces of wear found on the streets, allowing these site-specific surfaces to be lifted and preserved.

Once dried, the latex forms a thin, flexible layer that resembles a piece of skin removed from the body of the city. It records not only the physical texture of the ground, but also the traces left by time, movement, and the surrounding environment. To me, these fragments become samples of the city’s skin—preserving the tactile memory and traces of a particular place.

私は、街の表面をひとつの「皮膚」のように捉えています。透明なフィルムやラテックスを使い、道にある質感やひび割れ、擦れた跡などを拾い上げ、その場所ならではの表情を形として残しています。乾いたラテックスは、薄く柔らかな膜になり、まるで街の身体から剥がした皮膚のように見えます。そこには地面の物理的な質感だけでなく、時間や人の動き、周囲の環境によって刻まれた痕跡も残されています。

私にとって、これらの断片は「街の皮膚」のサンプルです。ひとつの場所が持つ手触りや、そこに積み重なった時間の記憶を保存しています。
