I'm just a little fish in a big tank (i.e. Tokyo)! Having only moved to Tokyo last year, I'm working my way through the nooks and crannies of this wonderful city, and this project led me to the charming streets of Jingumae 2-chome. While not very big, I fell in love with the area's small eateries, architecture, and most of all, the serene atmosphere of the neighbourhood (despite being a stone's throw away from Harajuku...!). It was refreshing to find peace in the heart of the city, and the hours simply melted away here. In my walk(s) through the neighbourhood, I documented things I saw, things I loved, and (arguably the most important) things I ate! So please enjoy Jinny through my eyes!

大きな水槽みたいな東京の中では、私はまだまだ小さな魚。

東京に引っ越してきたのは去年のこと。まだ知らない場所がたくさんあるこの街を、少しずつ、路地の奥や小さな隙間まで歩きながら探検しています。今回のプロジェクトをきっかけに出会ったのが、神宮前二丁目の愛らしい街並みでした。

決して大きなエリアではないけれど、小さな飲食店や味わいのある建物、そして何より、穏やかな街の空気にすっかり惹かれました。原宿からほんの少し歩いただけなのに、こんなにも静かな時間が流れていることが新鮮で、気づけばここで何時間も過ごしていました。

街を歩く中で、目に留まったもの、好きだと思ったもの、そして何より大切な、食べたものを記録しました。
